Ian Halpin

As an exclusive buyer’s agent Ian comes to Rooney Real Estate with an extensive background in Customer Service; from his beginnings as a golf instructor to more recently owning his own restaurant and managing some very well known local Boston Restaurants he has learned the importance of understanding and paying close attention to each client’s individual needs.  Having grown up in Dublin, Ireland where he was educated at The College For Management Studies Ian, moved to Boston to pursue a career in Golf but quickly realized his skills and education could be put to better use in the Hospitality Industry. After ten plus successful years owning and operating restaurants he developed a strong interest in Real Estate and all of its various facets, the interest grew and the move to a real estate career became inevitable.   Most of Ian's Real Estate career has been focused in the Greater Boston market with an emphasis in South Boston where he has worked closely with multiple developers and contractors to learn the business of Real Estate literally from the ground up. Ian currently lives in South Boston with his Wife Marissa, a Program Director for Justice Resource Institute and still enjoys a round of golf from time to time.
