During nine highly successful years at Jack Conway’s South Boston location, Mr. Rooney won numerous awards for his outstanding achievements in real estate sales and listings including “Tops in Sales” company wide four years in a row.  He then established his own company in 1995, Rooney Real Estate, with an emphasis in customer service and results in the South Boston and Dorchester neighborhoods.  2008 begins his 22nd year in the real estate market.  Due to Jackie’s work ethic, knowledge of the South Boston and Dorchester real estate markets and unique ability to anticipate during the sales process, home sellers and buyers began to view him as a South Boston’s premiere real estate consultant.

Jackie also serves on the board of the South Boston Collaborative and is a coach for the South Boston Youth Hockey League.  He is a graduate of Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) in Troy, NY., with a Bachelor of Science in Management systems.  He currently resides in South Boston.  His interests include attending his daughter, Jillian’s, tennis matches and his son, Jackie Jr’s., hockey games.

Lisa O’Brien is an Exclusive Buyer’s Agent at Rooney and has been a Realtor for more than four years.  She truly enjoys working with buyers and is currently working towards earning her Accredited Buyers Representation (ABR) designation.   

Lisa grew up the daughter of a military pilot and has lived all over the country.  She studied Business Marketing at Virginia Tech, and then moved to New York City in 1996 to begin a five year career as a flight attendant with Delta Airlines.  In 2001, she relocated to Boston and has been a Realtor since.  She has traveled all over the world and experienced many different cultures, which has contributed to her approachable nature and ability to form strong relationships with her clients.

Lisa currently lives in South Boston with her husband Scott O’Brien, a construction superintendent with East Coast Construction.  They enjoy walking their dog Meeka, eating out at South Boston restaurants, and watching Southie grow as a community.

Christina joined Rooney Real Estate in 2005 as a Sales Associate and Rental Agent. She is originally from New York, but relocated to South Boston in 2002 to continue her teaching career. Christina earned her BA in Early Childhood Education from Oneonta State College, and her Masters Degree in Special Education from Binghamton University. She enjoys teaching elementary school children and loves introducing people to the South Boston community. Christina currently lives in South Boston.
